How to Edit Jake’s Resume — Online or in Overleaf
Spend your time on the story. Let the template handle the structure.
Open this example in the editorEdit online without LaTeX
The homepage editor opens with a complete fictional example. Replace the personal details, then move through Education, Experience, Projects, and Technical Skills. Remove anything that does not apply.
Use Add entry to create a new role, project, or school. You can move entries with the arrow buttons or drag an entry card. Drag a highlight by its grip, or use its arrow buttons to change the order. Add a custom section for leadership, awards, or publications.
Use the right preview
Layout is a quick HTML approximation. PDF is compiled from the generated LaTeX on your device. Use the PDF tab to check the final typography and page count.
The Text check tab extracts the current PDF’s text. Check that your name, dates, technologies, and bullet order appear as expected.
Continue in Overleaf
Choose Export resume → Open in Overleaf. After you confirm, your LaTeX source is sent to Overleaf, a separate service. You can then use its editor and compile with pdfLaTeX.
You can also download the LaTeX project ZIP and upload it to your preferred LaTeX editor. The ZIP includes main.tex and the original template licenses. See the Overleaf guide below for compiler settings, transfer details and common errors.
Keep a recoverable copy
Changes are saved in this browser when browser storage is available. Clearing site data, using a different browser, or leaving private browsing may remove access to your draft.
Export a JSON backup before a major rewrite. You can import that backup without losing the section structure.
