Download a Word version of your own resume

Open the editor, replace the example details, then choose Export resume → Word document (.docx). The file is generated on your device, with no account required.

The Word export uses a single column, standard section headings, and editable paragraphs. It is a recreation of the layout, not a LaTeX-rendered document.

Why the Word and PDF versions can look different

Word and LaTeX use different layout engines. Fonts, line breaks, and page breaks can change across Word versions and operating systems. Our default Word export uses Times New Roman, which is widely available; the PDF uses Computer Modern.

If exact Jake’s typography matters, use the compiled PDF. If someone needs an editable document, choose DOCX and review it in their intended application.

Before you submit

Open the exported DOCX in Word, check margins and bullets, and look for a second page. Do not shrink the text until it is difficult to read just to meet a one-page target.

Keep a JSON backup as your editable source. Import it into the online editor when you want to make another version.
