Editing and storage
Basic editing and LaTeX compilation run in your browser. Drafts are saved in localStorage on this device when available. Resume text is not submitted to our server as part of basic editing or export.
The site downloads its own application, compiler, font, and package files. The hosting provider processes ordinary connection information such as IP addresses and request paths to serve these files. Do not put private information in URL query parameters.
Exports and third parties
PDF, DOCX, LaTeX, and JSON exports are created on your device. Choosing Open in Overleaf asks for confirmation before sending LaTeX source to Overleaf. Uploading an exported DOCX to Google Docs, or copying our Google Docs template into your Drive, is your own separate action in your Google account.
Overleaf, Google, and any other service you choose have their own privacy terms. This site does not claim affiliation with them.
Usage analytics
On the published jakesresume.app website, Google Analytics measures visits to public pages and may use cookies. We disable automatic enhanced interaction measurement and advertising personalization. Resume fields, document text, downloads, URL queries, and fragments are not included in the page-view data this editor sends.
Local previews do not load Google Analytics. We also skip analytics when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Third-party requests still reveal ordinary connection information to their provider; Google's own privacy terms apply.
Optional AI assistance and payments
Only text you explicitly submit for AI help, with your consent, is sent through our server to EvoLink for Claude Haiku 4.5 processing. EvoLink forwards requests to its model service providers. Its privacy policy says inputs and outputs are not used for training, fine-tuning or improving models, but allows necessary troubleshooting, security and legal access, and de-identified automated quality analysis. EvoLink does not publish a fixed retention period; upstream providers also apply their own terms. This service uses the selected Messages endpoint and does not implement automatic fallback. EvoLink may operate routing within its provider network, so we cannot promise direct-only Anthropic processing, zero retention or deletion by all providers within 30 days. On our server, submitted resume and job-description text is processed in memory and is not saved as request content. We keep a one-way fingerprint to match retries. AI suggestions are stored for recovery, with cleanup scheduled every 15 minutes and a deletion cutoff before 24 hours; an operational failure can delay cleanup. Failed or interrupted requests have their spent credits returned once recovered. Avoid sending sensitive information and review every suggestion before use.
Stripe processes payments on its hosted checkout. We store provider identifiers, subscription state and transaction records; we do not receive your full card number. Essential authentication cookies keep you signed in. Contact support@jakesresume.app for account or privacy requests.
Removing your draft
You can remove this site’s stored data in your browser settings. Export a backup first if you want to keep a copy. Private browsing and clearing browser data may remove your draft.
Optional accounts store your email, authentication records, session information and credit ledger. Google sign-in is processed by Google when enabled. Signing in does not upload or sync the editor draft. Cancel active subscriptions before requesting account deletion; payment records may be retained for accounting and legal obligations.
