Independent service and your content
This is an independent editor, not an official product of Jake Gutierrez, Overleaf, Microsoft or Google. The original Jake’s Resume template is credited under the MIT license and is based on sb2nov/resume. Both license notices are included with LaTeX project downloads and are available on the Licenses page.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your resume and for keeping backups. Review every export and AI suggestion before using it. Layout can vary by format and application; we do not guarantee ATS acceptance, interviews or hiring outcomes. AI suggestions may be incorrect or introduce unsupported claims despite instructions intended to prevent that.
Free editing and optional AI
Basic editing and PDF, Word, LaTeX and JSON exports are free and require no account. Optional AI assistance requires an account, consent to submit selected text and sufficient credits. The interface shows availability and the credit cost before a request. AI features and purchases stay unavailable until their required services are configured; a pricing page is not evidence that checkout is open.
A bullet rewrite uses 1 credit; matching a job post uses 3 credits. Job matching produces feedback and suggested wording, not a guaranteed assessment or an automatically completed resume. A failed AI request returns the credits deducted for it. Do not submit another person’s sensitive data without appropriate authority.
One-time credit packs
The listed one-time packs are Starter Pack: $4.99 for 40 credits; Job Hunt Pack: $9.99 for 120 credits; and Season Pack: $29.99 for 500 credits. These are one-time purchases and do not renew. Purchased credits have no scheduled expiry and are not cleared at a monthly renewal. Season Pack does not expire at the end of a season.
Credits are attached to your account and are used for the listed AI features. Keep your account accessible to use them; they are not cash or a bank balance. Any available signup promotion is subject to the eligibility and abuse-prevention rules displayed at signup. The free editor does not depend on buying credits.
Monthly subscriptions and cancellation
The Monthly plan is $9.99 per month for 300 credits per monthly billing cycle and renews automatically until cancelled. Unused subscription credits do not roll over: the subscription balance is reset to the plan allowance when a new paid cycle is fulfilled. When both balances are available, subscription credits are spent before purchased credits.
Cancel through the billing portal to stop future renewals. Cancellation at the end of a billing period leaves current subscription credits available until that period ends. Purchased pack credits are unaffected. Cancellation alone does not request a refund; see the Refund Policy for first payments, renewals and billing problems. Before deleting an account, cancel any active subscription and contact support if you need help.
Payment and service availability
The checkout shows the amount, currency, billing frequency and any applicable tax before you confirm payment. Stripe processes card details on its hosted checkout. Do not pay if the displayed plan or terms differ from what you intended to buy; contact support@jakesresume.app with the transaction reference if there is a problem.
The free editor is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted service. Browser storage is not a permanent backup. If a paid service is unavailable or credits are not delivered, contact support so we can investigate fulfillment or a refund. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law requires us to provide.
